Bring a photo into the light
Drop an image anywhere, or click to browse. Everything runs locally.
JPG · PNG · WEBPHi, I'm SK Kasim.
I build small, focused tools — Safelight is one of them: an image editor that lives entirely in your browser.
Most online editors ask you to upload your image to a server. That felt backwards. Your photos are yours — editing should happen on your machine.
Safelight runs entirely client-side. Every crop, filter, brush stroke, and text box is drawn with the Canvas API in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
A quiet room for your photos.
A useful photo editor doesn't need an account, a server, or an upload button.
Private by default
Your images never leave your device. No upload, no storage, no leak.
Fast, not bloated
One HTML file, no build step, no heavy frameworks. Opens instantly.
Real tools
Crop, resize, rotate, adjust, draw, text, shapes — done properly.
Open and honest
No telemetry, no dark patterns, no paid tier. What you see is what runs.
Say hello.
Found a bug, have an idea, or just want to talk? Reach out — every message goes straight to me.
Built solo by SK Kasim.
Safelight is designed, built, and maintained by one person.
Everything — the crop tool, brush engine, filter pipeline — is hand-built with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
