Hi, I'm SK Kasim.

I build small, focused tools — Safelight is one of them: an image editor that lives entirely in your browser.

Most online editors ask you to upload your image to a server. That felt backwards. Your photos are yours — editing should happen on your machine.

Safelight runs entirely client-side. Every crop, filter, brush stroke, and text box is drawn with the Canvas API in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Hi, I'm SK Kasim.

I build small, focused tools that do one job well — and Safelight is one of them: an image editor that lives entirely in your browser tab.

I started this project out of a simple frustration: most online photo editors ask you to upload your picture to a server before you can even crop it. That always felt backwards. Your photos are yours — the editing should happen on your machine, not somewhere else's.

So Safelight is built to run entirely client-side. Every crop, filter, brush stroke, and text box is drawn with the Canvas API, right there in your browser. Nothing you edit is ever sent anywhere.

Outside of this project, I like building compact, purposeful interfaces — the kind that get out of the way and let you finish the task at hand.
